About this mod Machine translation

FTS sight brought by Chinese leader west Feili

Like the title, the FTS sight brought by the boss of Xifeili,

To put it simply, it is different from the perspective map of STS. Like today's mainstream FPS, FTS models the mirror separately to achieve a true picture-in-mirror effect.

Supports many modern weapon modifications (but I won’t give the specific address. You can find many by searching for Fallout 4 FTS on Bilibili)

For specific information, please go to the original address of N.com or the home page of Xifeili.

Updated on April 16, 2025:

Version 0.10.3

Removed dependency on ReShade and ENB, this mod can now be used without ReShade and ENB

Fix: Fixed rendering failure under DOF effects (usually shown as the image disappearing during the blur of a shot or explosion)

Fix: Fixed the issue of abnormal rendering in ultra-widescreen or other aspect ratio resolutions

Compatible with latest DLSS mods

Some other minor fixes and enhancements

~~### The most commonly used version 0.9.4 and the beta version 0.10.2 have been packaged and uploaded together. You can choose to install them according to your needs. ~~

Chinese address:

---

**In the latest versions, you need ENB or ReShade to enable the new render mode

Either one of the two will work or if you have another one modifying d3d11.dll or dxgi.dll will also work

And you don’t need to install any presets**

What is Fake Through Scope?

Fallout 4's Fake Through Scope (FTS) is a framework that allows modified weapons to emulate picture-in-picture effects and other visual effects for their optics/scopes in screen space when patched. FTS is a complement to STS, not a replacement.

In fact, this mod combines some features from two mods: henkspamadres' See-Through Scope and CrookR's shader-based 2d scope from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Why is it fake?

As I said before, this is all simulation. You don't really see through your sight. This mod attempts to grab a portion of your screen and display it as a texture, like a screenshot, and then renders to a specific texture.

Install

Download and install the address library.

Install ENB or ReShade

Disadvantages and Advantages

shortcoming:

At low resolutions the range will look blurry

Depending on the resolution, the performance penalty is 1 to 10 frames. The lower the resolution, the smaller the performance loss. For reference, when I enabled this mod at 4K resolution, the framerate dropped from 114 to 107.

advantage:

Magnifies the inside of the scope when aiming without affecting the FOV too much

Another way to make Through Scope and SideAim compatible with each other

Visual effects only inside the sight

Will never conflict with Mods that modify behavior files, such as STS, Tactical Reload, Sprint Reload, etc. No need to do anything compatible for them.

Incompatible

fine zoom

Certain ReShade effects: Sometimes, certain ReShade effects cause the range image to disappear. In this case you can either turn off the effect or find a valid one and rearrange it to the last one

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
