Presets for Appearance Menu Mod
This mod contains the appearance menu from expired6978 (
illustrate
- Manually download the mod file
- Unzip the file and copy the contents into the F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets folder.
It is usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets.
Each file is named after the default side it represents, for example: Beth.json
- In game, use the console to activate the Looks Menu by typing ~showlooksmenu[prid] or slm[prid], where "prid" is the ID# of the character face you want to modify. For example, Player is prid 14 and Cait is prid 79305.
- Exit the console. Select Presets and Load from the menu, then select the desired preset face from the preset list. Then follow the prompts.
- If you wish, you can use the Appearance menu to edit the character you just modified and save the edited face as a new preset. (or not) I don't find the "Delete Preset" option in the game's Appearance menu. However, you can delete unwanted presets in the F4EE folder. You can also overwrite my presets with your own, or save them as a new preset.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
