Road textures are repainted in a vanilla-friendly way.
Original address:
Enhanced vanilla asphalt roads repaint road textures in a vanilla-friendly way. Now, the road has deeper, more worn cracks and potholes, more befitting a road that hasn't seen any maintenance in 210 years. For those using ENB, complex parallax is supported. The textures are 2k, but the pothole normal maps are 4k.
If using the humidity shader fix, make sure Enhanced Vanilla Asphalt Roads overrides the pothole material and specular texture. This is necessary for the potholes to not have the stupid edge-lit fake puddle nonsense effect of the original. It looks much better when using a simple environment map.
In fact, one might argue that removing the game's bugbug puddle decals isn't a big loss, since the decals no longer look like &$.
Those who looked too closely might be scarred by how bad the original models were, as they showed obvious seams on top of some potholes and cracked decals. I used some clever alpha trickery to get rid of these Bethesda sins.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
