About this mod:

An interface mod based on F4SE that adds highly configurable and complex AI detection, NPC and stealth-level HUD indicators to the game. I named it "Stealth Meter Plus", after the vanilla stealth HUD indicator called "Stealth Meter" in the game files.

compatibility:

It uses F4SE to add invisible meter upgrades to the HUD, so it should be compatible with any interface mod. This mod does not touch any original disc or interface files.

Stealth meter plus:

There are many options to personalize the stealth meter plus, just take a look at the mod picture... The target NPC ("detection actor") can be the nearest combatant, the nearest enemy, a player observer, any living or dead (even non-player observer) NPC, or a custom NPC defined by the player. Invisible Meter Plus can display the detection participant's direct LoS (line of sight), distance, distance units (yards, meters, etc.), hit points (in %), direction (in °). It is also possible to change its position on the HUD (x,y coordinates), visibility status (while sneaking, not while sneaking, always, etc.), bracket behavior (static or following stealth level if/only if...), detection text (full text composition), color (hostile and non-hostile).

Vanilla stealth meter:

As an added feature, this mod allows you to change the position and visibility settings of the vanilla stealth meter. Modifying the vanilla stealth table is also done at runtime (via F4SE), so it does not (technically cannot) overwrite or cause any permanent changes to the HUD. Ultimately, if people think it's not immersive, or just prefer a "clean HUD," the vanilla stealth meter can be completely hidden using the mod's instant interface editor system.

MCM and hotkey support:

Stealth Meter Plus can also be quickly turned on/off via hotkeys (see image in gallery below [STEALED]). The mod supports MCM, but equivalent console commands are available for those who don't have or just don't want to use MCM. (The command list is in the articles section of the mod).

Detect peeks:

A unique feature that allows you to use aim targets (NPCs in the crosshair when aiming) as target actors for Stealth Meter Plus.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
