About this mod Machine translation
Why spoil the surprise?
Completely changes the way the game's music system behaves.
*WARNING: This mod may make you jump out of your seat!
There are 4 versions:
Atmosphere - Provides a continuous flow of environmental exploration tracks. Battle music never triggers.
Advanced Threats - Combat music only triggers encounters that could easily kill you, such as swans or legendary enemies. Environment exploration in on-rails gameplay beyond combat.
High level of threat, no ambient music - combat music will play for encounters that could easily kill you, such as swans or legendary enemies. Environmental exploration tracks don't play outside of combat.
Silence - only the sounds of the wasteland will fill your ears.

FAQ:
Why did you create this?
I always find it silly that you know you're being attacked just because a music cue tells you so. Playing combat before you've discovered your enemies hurts the atmosphere of the game. It removes all the suspense and danger that comes with exploring a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Worse, half the time your stalker is nothing more than a fanboy or a bloat...
Does this add to the music?
No, it's just a way of changing the behavior of the environment and combat music.
Is this compatible with...?
As long as you put it after the audio mod, everything should be fine.
Voice of Silence users:
Dynamic Music Overhaul's "High Level Threat" .esp edits the same battle soundtrack and will conflict unless you choose to play battle music in SoS.

digital nightmare
Digital Nightmare is a complete music soundtrack mode for players who want dark, dangerous, atmospheric background music to enhance their Fallout experience. I've been using this mod since Fallout 3, and it's one of the few soundtracks that rivals S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Music Mod.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Music Mod
I found vanilla's exploration track to be a bit... bland. I've always loved STALKER's music because of its incredibly creepy atmosphere. It is suitable for radiating the universe.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
