What this mod requires:
DLC or other mods are technically not required, however, CBBE is highly recommended to make some custom armor look correct.
How to start a mission:
The first mission in the series will start automatically when you load the game, and the second mission will be available immediately by talking to Dr. Nick. The remaining missions will unlock or start automatically as you progress through Dr. Nick's initial puzzle/mystery mission.

Install:
This mod uses and includes assets from several other mods with permission. During installation, you may be asked if you want to overwrite these resources. The best option is "no to everyone"
Install using MO2 or Vortex
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Custom music adds greatly to the ambience and experience, so keeping it on is highly recommended.
Advancing the puzzle/mystery mission isn't very difficult if you pay attention to the clues provided and observe what's at Dr. Nick's location.
One thing you need to know: if you choose the "Transfer" option, the workbench can be looted without being activated.
Be prepared to die a few times at the beginning of the puzzle/mystery mission, though. It's a good idea to save your progress.
Those playing on Survival difficulty are recommended to use the autosave button (Brain Recorder) placed inside Dr. Nick's entrance.
It's best to start and complete vanilla mission synth retention before or after playing missions in this mod, rather than during.
Using God Mode while playing this mod will cause issues requiring the previous save to be loaded. Don't use god mode.
So, here's everything you need to do to get over the hump after reading the welcome brochure:

Loot the tokens from the "unattended" luggage, use the "Transfer" option to launch the barrels (the floor near the Chem Station) as well as the Chem Station and Furnace, then head to the Vend-O-Matic
Repair your Easy Rider motorcycle and head to Vend-O-Matic
Get the other 5 clocks working, one on the couch, one above Mia's picture, one in the bathroom, one above the chemistry station, and the Nika Cola clock in the corner of the back room doorway, then go to the Vend-O-Matic
Repair worn-out engines, high-performance engines and lawn mowers (in the bathroom) and go to Vend-O-Matic
At this point, you should be able to ge …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
