Don't eat everything you found --- Deadly Raw food deadly food
You can't eat everything in the wasteland. no longer!
This mod completely changes all the food you can find in the wild and its effects. In vanilla, all raw food like raw mirelurk meat will give you some radiation if you eat it. But this number is so small that you can ignore it. Radiation rate in Fallout 4 is 1% of HP per 10 rad. So if you eat raw mirelurk meat, it will give you 10 radiation, which means it will only reduce your maximum health by 1% and give you 35% more health. WTF! If raw meat is so delicious, why do we need cooking stations?
So I decided to solve this problem. Now, with the mod, every piece of raw meat you eat has consequences for you. Think before you eat.
All functions are as follows:
- Increase the radiation of each raw food. Every living thing is different. For example, if you eat raw lamb, it will give you some radiation, certainly more than vanilla, but still less severe.
But if you eat something like radscorpion meat or deathclaw meat, well, good luck to you.
('radiation' means radiation, I'm Chinese, sorry)
- In the vanilla game, whenever you eat something, it will always give you some radiation for one second. It's not immersive at all. You need time to eat, time to digest. So using this mod, all meat you eat will give you radiation for at least 2 seconds. Some meats will last longer. So, be prepared to suffer and take your time!
('radiation' means radiation)
- Not only meat, but also some plants in the wasteland can be dangerous. They may give you some special abilities, and of course, they may kill you in an instant.
(no spoilers)
- Other foods, such as spirits. It doesn't give you too much radiation. Usually from 10 to 80, higher than vanilla, but not a big deal. 5. Deadly foods you can find in the wild have renames. So you can see which foods will kill you or make you suffer.
Of course, like I said, they probably won't kill you in a second, so you can still eat it with no problem, and if you've given up on .6, Radaway and Rad-X are more useful now, see the screenshots.
(vanilla is -300)
- Handle all difficulties. Perform survival mode!
Because of the difficulty, radiation is not affected. But some foods can also harm your health, and these foods can be affected by difficulty. On very hard difficulty, they will damage your health more easily than on very easy difficulty.
- All foods that do not have radiation in the vanilla game will not give you mods with radiation. Don't worry.
Please report any bugs you find in the mod. Safe installation and uninstallation. Just copy the esp file to the data folder in fallout 4. Activate it using the mod manager. The script is free and there is only one plugin.
Hope you like this mod, if you like it please like it!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
