Replaced Dogmeat's voice with Bladewolf's voice from Metal Gear Revenge Rising. No ESP
After a while I got some free time and was finally able to finish some of the mods I was trying to make. I actually tried using xvasynth and had high hopes for its amazing capabilities, but unfortunately my crappy computer keeps crashing when generating speech lmao. So making voice replacements for the PCs (player characters) was not in the plan, but while making this I had a slight desire to have voice replacements, but only for companions.
This mod is nothing fancy, literally just replaces Dogmeat's voice with Bladewolf's voice from Metal Gear Revenge Rising. I chose the best lines to change Dogmeat to my taste (playful bark, sad whimper, curious voice, yawn, angry bark, vicious growl, attention-getting whimper, playful howl, playful growl) but I noticed there were also some sound files and I had no idea where Dogmeat would use them and I didn't know how to check it other than playing it for a few hours and hoping the sound would play, so I put a random line on it. If you know where this sound is played, please tell me where, when and how it's played and I'll try to give it a
Choosing better lines, so this is my fourth mod, I hope you guys like it :)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
