About this mod Machine translation

This mod allows you to use aim that fools you, similar to the aim seen in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Hello.

This mod gives you the possibility to use pseudo-aiming for aiming.

There are 4 options:

  • Fallout 3 style: Aiming with zoom. (The gun is extended downward and to the right, that is, the neck-stretching position)
  • Fallout 3 style aiming without any zoom.
  • New Vegas style with zoom aiming. (The gun is lower in the middle, focused on the screen)
  • New Vegas style aiming without any zoom.

Soft requirements:

  • You need the Fall UI HUD so that the interface targets don't disappear when you aim.
  • After that, use its layout editor to configure it by editing when the crosshairs appear or disappear.

Not compatible with:

  • Any mod that changes ZM_Default and similar content.
  • Any mod that changes reflex sights
  • Any weapon mod that does not use ZM_Default as its zoom offset.
  • Any weapon mod that changes the Liberator, .44, Gauss Rifle, Gamma Gun, Alien Blaster or Flare Gun.
  • Any weapon mod that adds a custom reflex sight.

Additional instructions:

Thanks to my friend LukeEndo for laying the foundation for this mod and then introducing me to xEdit.

If Zzyxzz reads this, please add the WZMD patch to the Robco Patcher so that this mod can actually be compatible with anything.

If you happen to find that the vanilla gun in the game is not offset correctly then please let us know.

The game uses ZM_Default to offset the camera position when aiming,

But ZM_Default is not used by default for every gun.

Some guns don't even have any reference for WZMD values, which is why there are so many variations on many guns,

And why this mod has so many incompatibilities.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
