Desert Punks have unveiled a dirty new outfit featuring basic Raiders. Desert Punks was designed with the desert setting in mind, but it also works well in an environment adjacent to the original if you like that look.
- Currently includes -
- 18 full-body Raider outfits.
- 18 pieces of Raider headgear.
- 9 pieces of Raider back armor.
- Fully integrated into Raider Leveled Lists via manual (non-scripted) editing. To learn more about how it pairs with other mods, see the Compatibility section below.
- Version 0.3 Additions and Changes -
In this version, I (original author DaltonTheWarlock, the same below) think Desert Punks is about 1/3 complete.
- 18 new headgear styles! Integrated into the original LL and my own LL.
- 9 new armors! Added to original LL.
- The tiered list has been overhauled. If you're updating from an older version, you should notice that the Desert Punks gear appears much more frequently.
- Fixed some issues on the mesh that I didn't notice before.
- Slightly changed textures here and there.
- Future Goals -
- Outfits/headgear for mid to high level raiders.
- Outfit/headgear unique to each named Raider.
-compatibility-
Raider Overhaul One: Compatible with Available Patches - To use both Desert Punks and RO1, you must use the appropriate patch in 4estGimps' Desert Punks Edit.
Capital Wasteland Raiders: Full Compatibility -- While most armor mods will add *items* for gear LL, CW Raiders will make its own *NPCs* and add them to the Raider spawn list. Fair warning: CW Raiders' NPCs spawn very frequently, making up about half of your Raiders.
Raider Gangs Extended: Fully Compatible - RGE not only makes its own NPCs, but also makes its own unique spawns for them. RGE is compatible with basically everything.
Raider Accessories: Fully Compatible -- Items in this mod are script-injected. Totally recommended, but be sure to get the loose file version!
Grease Rat Garbs (and its Raider LL patch): Fully compatible -- the Raider LL patch on the GRG download page script injects its items into LL, so there are no conflicts. Keep in mind that items from GRG will be fairly scarce (intended design by GRG authors), and adding any extra mods that touch Raider LL will be even more scarce.
JU Helmets Redux: Now compatible with available patches! -- It touches an LL, an LL that Punks also touches. A patch is required, which can be found on the FILES page.
Raider Clothing: Incompatible -- These two mods touch some of the same LL records. However, if you do want to run them together, you may want to make sure you load Raider Clothing after Desert Punks. If you do this, you will lose all of Punks' base armor and will see it much less frequently, but technically they will work together.
- Thanks and thanks -
4estGimp: Made a great ESL markup and script injection editor! Also supports LL compatibility with Raider Overhaul One! 4est also provides a lot of help, feedback and support. Dude is an absolute legend!
jumarbye: For laying the groundwork and helping with early Leveled List integration, as well as brainstorming some really cool ideas. Thanks, jumarbye!
DefaltTheFixer: I used and edited some of the assets from the Gunner Outfit Pack, plus they were a huge source of design inspiration.
Jaeceb: Thank you for the great feedback and support and for brainstorming with me on some ideas that will be crucial for version 0.3 onwards. Of course, because he's a super cool guy.
gogetheus: Uploading their CBBE Desert Punks body slide transformation. (Full support for version 0.3)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
