About this mod Machine translation

describe:

Version 1.4 added a very large silencer upon request. Rebalanced vibration requirements slightly (mostly Gunmod 2 now) - Rebalanced auto receivers so they all have the exact same rate of fire (unexpected slight difference from testing)

Added 1.4 WSE version for Weaponsmith Extended version of Desert Eagle

See bottom for installation guide and more detailed 1.4 changelog

Version 1.3 now comes with drum magazine, automatic receiver, visible silencer on request

See the Changelog as some things are a little "rough and funky" to get started.

This is a patch for the Desert Eagle .50 AE - a stand-alone pistol from Stabcops, which is of course required.

I enjoyed firing around my ass in many games of Fallout testing various settings. The often chosen gun is the Deliverer, or one of many independent weapons - M9, Glock 20, HK USP.45, etc.

But ultimately all standalone weapons feel the same and hit the same roadblocks... just not quite as capable at higher levels.

My standard means of making pistols is the laser. The largest laser pistol packs the same punch as a laser rifle and has a longer range. Slam a few legends and it can take on anything.

But it doesn't have the feel of a ballistic pistol, blocks more of the field of view, and I don't like firing it anywhere close.

I tried a variety of .44 revolvers with 24Cell's excellent .44 suppressor mod, which gave me the oomph I needed, but semi-realistic action wasn't what I was looking for.

The gun performs significantly worse in hip fires than V.A.T.S.

In the hardcore survival configuration I'm currently testing, I regularly encounter monsters from 3 competing factions at the same time, multiple legendaries, many of which are bullet sponges, even though I've only reached lv65 (this is my 8th playthrough, which is lv60+).

Then Stabcops uploaded his excellent Desert Eagle

I can immediately see this as a base for the "Deliverer mk2" experience, which is something I've been looking for with some caveats at higher levels (65+).

It requires a Sandman perk and a silencer for my ear drum.

I'm "honed in" on the Deliverer and pistol-like feel/range, so some adjustments are needed.

The flashlight is great for the case, but most of the time I prefer this pip-boy

While I don't need it yet, I'm used to 19+ magazines, so a boost would be useful.

I'm a fan of see-through combat scopes, and henkspamadres created the scopes for the Desert Eagle, but my preference for pistols is the original magnifying reflex scope from version 0.9, rather than the true scopes added in later versions. So I need to make x2.5 and 4.0 combat sights.

This quick plugin fixes these needs

2 new barrels with silencers (in partnership with Sandman), with and without lights. Other stats are consistent with Deliverer...increased range, reduced recoil, slightly tweaked iron sights, value, etc.

1.3 now comes with 3 different visible silencers

1.4 Now you have 4 different visible silencers

2 combat sights (magnifying reflex) - 2.5x and 4.0

1 2 New Magazines - Extra Large Quick Pop for those used to 19+ rounds, while the new version 1.3 is a 40 round drum.

4 automatic receivers

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
