-describe-

There are a total of 18 turrets in this pack. There are 7 turrets from the original and 11 unique turrets.

Here's how they work.

Use them:

They can be crafted at any Chemistry Station under the new category of turrets.

They can be expensive and require certain perks to craft more powerful turrets.

Once crafted, they will be added to your weapons inventory and will act as mines.

You can equip them like mines, and when you're ready to use them, you can drop them like mines.

Battle:

When you deploy them, they take a portion of the ammo from you for their use.

In fact, they consume ammo when shooting, they don't have unlimited ammo.

Of course, they will attack any aggressors against the player on sight, hoping to deal with them quickly.

When you deploy a turret, you can run up to it and "activate" it, opening a menu.

Interactive menu:

Pickup - Removes the turret and returns unspent ammunition. Turrets must not be destroyed in order to be picked up.

Reloading - If the turret runs out of ammo then you can simply reload it with another allocated ammo.

Repairs - Turrets must be repaired when damaged to a broken state, but now all repairs are free.

Cancel - Allows you to close the menu while performing no action on the turret. What a feature.

More information about repairs:

When the turret is damaged enough, it will enter the broken state. In order for it to continue fighting, or to return it to your inventory, it must be repaired. Just activate it (selected options will be lost, but still available) and select Repair. This will take a few seconds, but eventually the turret will start operating again. You can also repair turrets before they are damaged to quickly restore their health. All repairs are now free.

Ammunition distribution:

As mentioned before, there are 18 different turrets, each requiring a type of ammunition and can carry a different allocation of ammunition when deployed. Ammunition is distributed as the maximum you can load in one operation, not the maximum it can hold. This includes deploying and reloading it. If you want to fill it with as much ammo as possible, you have to keep reloading it, even in combat.

Other instructions:

Each turret in your inventory is very heavy, with more powerful turrets being heavier than the last.

If you deploy a turret and forget about it, it should still be there and available for recovery long after deployment.

Companions and other NPCs cannot deploy turrets, so feel free to leave them with you.

You can install the AWKCR patch in the installer to make its turrets craftable on its Weaponsmith Workbench.

-Type of turret-

Here are the details of the different turrets:

Spotlight - No Ammo - Not technically a turret, but will track enemies with its light. .38 Machine Gun Turret - .38 rounds - Allotment 300 - A rusty, cheap turret that uses a lot of ammo.

Machine Gun Turret - 5mm Shells - Assignment 300 - Light but fragile gas-powered turret. A good start.

Heavy Machine Gun Turret - 5mm Shells - Assignment 300 - More durable yet affordable ballistic turret.

Laser Turret - Fusion Unit - Assignment 300 - The energy-based counterpart of the Machine Gun Turret.

Gamma Turret - Gamma Bullet - Assignment 100 - Radiation ejection repl …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
