Deeper male protagonist voice

There are many requirements. It's satisfying to me that the female voice "problem" is solved, I personally would never take advantage of a male lead, but I know a lot of people who do. So here it is.
Simple and simple, this mod offers several more in-depth adjustments to the male protagonist's voice. Deeper means profound. It doesn't mean: a different accent, a different dialect, a dramatic change in pitch, or a change in other characteristics like how gravelly it sounds. No "Mad Max" rasp, sorry.
Installation (as of 2016-3-21):
- Follow the Fallout 4 Mod Installation Guide to learn the latest ways to set up custom mods.
- Patch 1.3 removed transparent support for .bsa archives, and there is still no way to create .ba2 archives, so here are the installation options that I understand them to be (copied from the mod thread). I don't have time to test them.
(The following example assumes you want to install "Higher Female Protagonist Voice - Type D1.bsa". Replace this text with the .bsa filename of your desired mod.)
Option 1:
*Go to Fallout4.ini under My Documents/My Games/Fallout 4
*Under the archive section, find 'sResourceArchiveList=' without quotes.
*Copy and paste this line and replace the existing line after 'sResourceArchiveList=':
sResourceArchiveList = Fallout4 - Voices.ba2,Fallout4 - Meshes.ba2,Fallout4 - MeshesExtra.ba2,Fallout4 - Misc.ba2,Fallout4 - Sounds.ba2,Fallout4 - Materials.ba2,Higher Female Protagonist Voice - Type D1.bsa
*Start the game and the voice should change to the type of voice you want.
Option 2:
*If you are afraid of messing up the Fallout4.ini file, you can put the following command into Fallout4Custom.ini. It will keep the original one and use the one from Fallout4Custom.ini while avoiding the wrong ini file.
[Archive]
sResourceArchiveList = Fallout4 - Voices.ba2,Fallout4 - Meshes.ba2,Fallout4 - MeshesExtra.ba2,Fallout4 - Misc.ba2,Fallout4 - Sounds.ba2,Fallout4 - Materials.ba2,Higher Female Protagonist Voice - Type D1.bsa
*Add the name of the esp file of your chosen voice type (for example: "Higher Female Protagonist Voice - Type D1.esp") to the plugins.txt file, which is usually located in C:\Users\(your username)\Application Data\Local\Fallout4.
*Extract the contents of the archive to the Fallout4\Data\ directory.
Option 3:
*Use the Bethesda Archive Extractor utility to extract the contents of this mod.bsa archive directly to your Data directory.
Special installation instructions for Automatron:
As far as I know (I could be mistaken), the .ba2 archive content packaged with this DLC has been given overall priority, which means that none of the above options will work until someone force-drops the content they want to replace. In other words, before the above options are possible, you may need to do the following:
1: Using Bethesda Archive Extractor, extract the contents of the DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 archive to your data directory.
2: Delete the PlayerVoiceMale01 directory located in Sound/Voice/DLCRobot.esm/
3: Hide your DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 file by moving it to a temporary location or renaming it temporarily.
4: Now try one of the first three options.
Please revert these changes once the latest issues are sorted out by the modding community. Until then, please note that if Steam re-downloads the DLCRobot - Voices_en.ba2 file, the voices may revert to vanilla. I apologize in advance if this information is inappropriate/outdated; busy with hospital visits etc. lately.
Special installation instructions for Far Harbor:
Currently, this patch is being provided as a loose file. It is recommended to use Mod Organizer 2. Once installed, the same issue with the Automatron DLC present in the remote port apparently exi …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
