Start the module
At the time, David was playing a sandbox game on the main deck of Prydwen. Talk to him to start the mod. Complete the Purity Project mission
After that, wait a day in-game to enter the second part.
Plot
In the first part, players will assist David Hunter, the Clerk of the Brotherhood of Steel, who still believes in the old traditions of Owen Lyons and promotes projects that use the resources of the Brotherhood of Steel to provide power and clean water to the people of the Wasteland. As a result, he came into conflict with traditional fraternity members who supported the more insular Maxson fraternity.
The second part expands on David's mission, with players helping him distribute water and power to small settlements across the Commonwealth. As part of David's new affinity system, players will also help David reconcile his inner conflict: whether he should return to the Brotherhood or accept that he and his views no longer belong there.
Function
This mod is fully voiced. All characters are voiced, and the gender of the player is voiced using dialogue lines from the base game.
David is a commandable companion with a complete favorability system, including likes and dislikes, contextual dialogue, and different levels of friendship. Do what David enjoys and you'll become better friends. Do things he doesn't like and your relationship will deteriorate and eventually he will leave.
There are eight main quests in total, but two of them are mutually exclusive, meaning that only seven/7 can be completed in one playthrough.

need
This mod only requires the base game to work, but if you destroy Prydwen, you won't be able to access David. Being hostile to the Brotherhood will cause the module to fail.
compatibility
The mod adds a new interior space to the Forest Swamp area, some new content to the interior cells of the nearby dam, and a dam door designed by Sunshine Tidings Co-Op.
Install
If you have already played the game in version 2.2 or lower, it is not recommended to upgrade to version 2.5. In version 2.5 I have completely refactored the archive, which means some features may no longer be available. It is recommended to create a clean archive to update.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
