About this mod Machine translation
Dance will wear his helmet in battle, this is less of a mod and more of a fix isn't it?
Because power armor helmets have an armor rating, Danse's use of his helmet will increase his damage resistance. Note, however, that Danse will not wear a helmet in all battles. He will only do this if he detects trouble around him and has enough time to animate. Otherwise, he would just jump right into the fight instead of donning his power armor helmet and starting the fight.
Dance will also put on the helmet if the player fires a gun while not in combat, the idea behind this being that the player is most likely firing because they are about to get into combat. If there is no combat (such as a player hitting the target with a shot or an accidental shot), Danse will remove his helmet when it is safe to do so.
Because this mod relies on Danse doing the detection himself, I found that sometimes he would think the fight was over when it actually wasn't, and then take off his helmet prematurely. But if he wants to be shot in the head, so be it.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
