About this mod Machine translation

This makes the 10mm pistol smaller, the original was just too big.

Original address:

The mod is quite simple. As the title says, this mod reduces the size of a 10mm pistol.

This module's methods reduce the size of the NIF on the receiver and the number of connected nodes. This means that all accessories are automatically reduced in size to make them compatible with the accessory pack accessories. Needed to do a small dirty edit to re-zero the reticle, but that was the only ESP edit, the rest were model swaps.

The goal here was to get closer to the 10mm scale dimensions found in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Not crazy shrinking, just smaller than the behemoth we saw in Fallout 4. In my opinion, just a little bigger than a 9mm pistol would be perfect, as shown in the attached picture.

As mentioned, the target is not a micro pistol, just smaller. These changes are very noticeable in first person, while third person makes it look more like a pistol than a hand cannon.

Remark:

This just replaces the new mesh, no other properties etc are edited.

  • If you download any content that also directly edits the 10mm pistol, compatibility issues may occur.
  • Regarding the accessory package, there is a .44 conversion receiver. This will still use the original scale.
  • You can patch, but I don't think heavy conversion is that bad.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
