Retextured Curie's Miss Nanny form to make it more unique and reflective of her personality.
Original address:
Prerequisite: Mechanical Legion DLC
The main packaged file and the optional file to remove the sticky notes on the machine body have been uploaded together. You can choose to install it according to your needs.
Version 2 fixes:
The plugin is now correctly tagged as ESL (I think)
Despite checking ten times that all folders were correct, I escaped the .nif material path, now fixed. Long live!
This mod now uses an unofficial patched version of Curie. (Admittedly, I'm not 100% sure how this will affect next-gen updates? I know!
Added an optional file to remove sticky notes on the Curie case in case you don't want to use it!
I'm using 5133p39's excellent Keep Robot Curie mod, and find myself a little sad that Curie looks like a standard nanny. She is a unique little robot!
Not only was she given to Vault 81 for a specific purpose, but she has been slowly being upgraded throughout her life, and yet.. none of this was in her design!
So, I gave Curie a little robotic facelift to better highlight two aspects of her character:
- Vault Tec has a hand in how Curie operates, as they describe her as a vital piece of medical equipment before she's even upgraded.
- The scientists at Vault 81 spent a long time tinkering with Curie, including giving her a unique personality! This love should be shown somewhere.
I was inspired by Fallout Shelter Online's depiction of Curie, the red stripe and black triangle under her central eye, and the Medic Protectron! I want to make it clear that Curie is an advanced medical robot that goes beyond the standard nanny lady, while retaining some elements of the FSO's very cool design for her.
Do I think this mod shouldn't conflict with any other Curie Mod? It specifically adds a new decal on top of her original textures, so the texture overhaul shouldn't impact the new additions. but. . This is also the first mod I've ever launched so I don't know xD
Currently, this mod only works on saves where you don't encounter Curie in Vault 81, or by adding decals to Curie using the Robot Workbench. If you've already seen her, I'm not sure how to add decals to an unmodified Curie (if that's even possible), if anyone knows please let me know and I'll be jumping up and down with joy.
Feedback is welcome, but only please! !
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
