About this mod Machine translation
detail:
Four mods in one! This mod adds 4 new weapons to the game: Plasma Katana, BER2 (laser sword), Crucible Blade, and plasma-infused throwing knife. Three melee weapons are fully compatible with CROSS_Crits.
Each of these three swords has its own customization. Each weapon has one level of upgrades, each upgrade adds new effects to the blade/laser/edge and old effects become more intense. BER2 is science focused, while Katana is a combination of science and blacksmithing, and Crucible is uniquely blacksmithing.
Even though they deal massive energy damage, they still fully scale based on your current power level (shishkebab's energy damage doesn't do this, which is why it kind of sucks). Likewise, throwing knives changes with the detonation of explosives. Overall, each weapon starts the same as a regular scimitar and upgrades 3-4 times beyond the power of Kremvh's Tooth. The Crucible Blade is unique in that it can be held with 1 or 2 hands, which includes fast short swings and slow long range swings.
Comprehension:
BER2 "Laser Sword": A hedgerow tool originally developed by General Atomics, the BER project was refocused after a series of catastrophic house fires during field testing. Rejoined as BER2, the project is targeting military contracts. Using past connections General Atomics was able to convince senior officials in the U.S. military to court-martial the weapon. One of the biggest critics of the term "laser sword" during the military trial, Lieutenant Colonel Col Hatte Neuspauper, was quoted as saying: "I don't care if it's hotter than the sun, we don't use the damn sword anymore."
Plasma Katana: The Plasma Katana was designed and built by REPCONN at the request of the United States Government, when it was announced that it would conduct military trials to test the feasibility of a "melee-combat metafusion weapon." The main design is based on a crystallizing plasma capable of rapid heating. While an effective cutting tool, the weapon was ultimately considered very expensive, primarily due to the cost of manufacturing the large plasma crystals necessary to form the blade.
Plasma Throwing Knife: Compromised from the development of the Plasma Katana, the throwing knife only requires one
A fraction of the full blade material while still providing an edge of super-hot plasma capable of causing severe damage.
Manual installation:
- Download the Main archive
- Extract all files in the archive to *Steam*/Fallout4/Data
- Download a skinpack from Glue Road.
- Place the "-Textures.ba2" file in *Steam*/Fallout4/Data
- Activate the mod using the mod manager of your choice, or use the in-game mod list
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
