Craftable Armor Size

About this mod Machine translation
This model enables light, solid and heavy armor models on the armor workbench.
Additional Armorer Level 3 is required for the Rugged upgrade, and Armorer Level 4 is required for the Heavy upgrade.
Other mod items are also created when replacing modifications, so you can downgrade a random [Heavy Chest] and apply it to the [Legendary Light Chest] you just downloaded.
It works on all leather, metal, combat, assault and synthetic armor parts.
This plugin maintains balance by adding additional requirements and reasonable material costs to added recipes.
Compatibility with other mods
Unless the mod changes the size of the armor modification record, you should be good to go. Known compatible mods are:
Better Armor Mod Descriptions (Download the Craftable Armor Size plugin for extra bonus)
Better naming and sorting of armor and weapons (highly recommended!)
Crafting workbench
Armorsmith extension
Legend modification
New Optional Plugin: Fix Material Perk requirement
In terms of material upgrades, the game uses different recipes for the same material model based on the size of the armor and different requirements.
Each recipe uses the same crafting materials, using the same crafting materials. The only difference is that applying the same exact mod on the heavy version instead of the light version has different special requirements.
However, the game doesn't stop you from moving the same mod between sizes.
example:
You want to upgrade your heavy legendary leather piece to "Shadow".
You are not asked to upgrade Heavy Leather to Shadow (requires Armorer 04).
However, you can upgrade the light leather to a shade without any problem (it requires Armorer 01), remove the mod, and stick it on your legendary hefty build.
It's not even about being able to do size upgrades, it's just a broken vanilla behavior.
This optional add-on gets rid of the extra recipes for medium and heavy and only uses the light versions of the recipes, eliminating unnecessary steps the game forces you to take.
FAQ
Q: The extra requirements for leather and invaders are too high, can you lower them?
Answer: It cannot be done without breaking the balance. The additional requirements are mainly to increase the capabilities of your armor.
In vanilla, you had the ability to get Sturdy Leather as a drop starting at level 16, and Heavy at level 31. This mod requires Armorer03 (lvl 25) and Armorer04 (lvl 39) for Sturdy and Heavy respectively. Armorer02 is level 13 so if I lower the requirements you can make solid leather and then you can even make it a blob which is what I want to avoid.
I'm not saying I agree with base armor's progression, but this mod wants to stick to vanilla's progression as much as possible. This means integrating into the base game rather than rebalancing it.

Technical information
The game only uses one reference for each piece of armor of a specific type (combat, leather...). The Light, Medium (Sturdy) and Heavy variants are just randomly applied mods (depending on player level). I added recipes for these previously unupgradeable upgrades and made these mods generate misc items that you can reuse on other armor of the same type, just like any other vanilla armor mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
