Introduction
You talk to an NPC. Your mouse and keyboard become unresponsive, dialogue options become unclickable, and you have to reload. That's conversation freeze.
Fallout 4 gives every open menu a depth priority. Some overlays (floating damage, HUD caps, etc.) appear above the dialogue menu, stealing your input.
This mod solves this problem at runtime. When a conversation starts, these overlays are temporarily lowered, allowing the conversation menu to remain in focus. When the conversation ends, everything is restored. Written in C++ and responsive. No scripts, no file editing, no archive dependencies. (The default is dynamic, but you can switch to static in the configuration.)
Note: Since the original version lacks the AddTaskPertante function, I (original author tryname, the same below) adopted a different implementation method. Hope it works.
Install
Install using your mod manager. that's all.
Uninstall at any time. No cleanup required.
Game version available for
Original (1.10.163) and NG/AE. For vanilla users, your F4SE logs may show that the plugin is not loaded or is missing version information. That's superficial. The plugin works fine. You can ignore it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
