About this mod Machine translation
Hey, you try this MOD: Brotherhood Power Armor Overhaul
Do you wish you could apply every paint unit to every power armor suit?
Do you want to represent the Brotherhood of Steel in a set of T-51s like they rock on the West Coast?
Do you wish Army Paint Industries had a star?
Does it bother you that the T-45 and X-01 don't have the shiny default metallic finish like the T-51 and T-60?
Do you dream of a world where all power armor is equal (at least when it comes to paint jobs)?
Good dreams don't last longer.
Consistent Power Armor Overhaul is a comprehensive mod that brings paintjob assets to FO4. It includes many changes, which are enumerated in a handy list format below:
Atom Cats paintjob works on all power armor*
BOS paintjobs work on all power armor*
The default paint job for all power armor now works the same way:
T-45 and X-01 power armor now default to a raw metallic texture instead of the usual blue texture
The original metallic look of the T-51 no longer has green paint on the cauldron and chest
T51a now has a rusty texture, like other power armor you find in the wild
There's now a new "Factory Paint" paintjob that gives you the usual blue plasticky finish on all power armor*
Winterized Coating paintjob now available for X-01
Military paint and Vault-tec paintjobs now have decals for all power armor*
New Section 11: The T-51 Power Armor has a "Standard Issue Paint" mode which restores it to its vanilla appearance.
*When I say all power armor, I mean the T-45, T-51, T-60, and X-01, but not the Raider suit
My goal with this mod is to extend the availability of in-game paint jobs to all armor, while making the handling of these options consistent across all powered armor. I didn't make Railroad, Institute and Minute Man Painting universal because there are already pretty good mods and I've been working on this for a long time.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
