About this mod Machine translation
The Eagle's Nest is a player settlement located within Vault 111. It is a fully functioning settlement designed and built as a military base for Special Operations Forces, commanded by the player character (faction). I created this player settlement for myself, but I'm sharing it with others in the community.
Backstory: The Eagle's Nest was built in the ruins of Vault 111. This reconstruction and repurposing was to meet the needs of the new Commonwealth military housing. The new base is home to one of the new special operations forces created by the new Commonwealth. The facility is staffed by permanent garrison and special operations forces. The cryogenic area has been converted into a maintenance area for the unit's power armor as well as a gymnasium to ensure residents are in optimal physical condition.
More than 200 years later, no longer a college that was an experiment on the residents of the Commonwealth, the college now serves the residents of the Commonwealth.
Additional information: The original Vault 111 has had some extensions made to make it a more capable installation. I don't like that game developers never really build functional vaults (my opinion). A water and air purification wing was added to the vault; although the Vault Tech's initial lifespan was only supposed to last six months, air and water would need to be recycled for residents during that time. An incinerator was also added because...well, where do they burn the bodies of the dead? A kitchen, food storage and freezer rooms, and a small medical facility were also added; the functionality of the vault was again added. Also included is a patient quarters adjacent to an adjacent observation room; now converted into barracks and rest area. Seriously, why go through the trouble of freezing people if you're not going to at least unfreeze them and see how the process affects them. Finally, a security station, decontamination station, and some additional residential areas were added for the Vault Tech scientists.

When leaving the ground, before stepping onto the elevator platform, make sure of the following: If you are closing the main vault door, leave it fully closed, including leaving the klaxon light off. If you don't do this, it will lock the main vault door mission and when you return, the main vault door will be locked and cannot be opened via the vault door console (you must initiate the door mission via the console command).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
