About this mod Machine translation
Take back your space! If you want to set up shop in a small area, you'll notice that the vanilla workbench is quite large. They look great, and I still like them, but I'm more of a basement dweller than a large living area builder and I like to make things nice and small.
Compact Crafting adds a freestanding, compact variant to the Vanilla workbench with new folding tabletop mesh and textures and the addition of a Vanilla bench cutout, allowing you to set up everything you need in a small space. The cooking stoves are small enough that I haven't included them here, but I may do so in an update. This is also a wonderful reproduction of the diagnostic cart from the FlaconOil HD ReTexture project! I used part of the diagnostic cart in PA Bench and wanted it to look cutting edge.
As a bonus, an "all-in-one" bench is included, which will, like all benches, include a stove! It also discards trash!
Just craft it, activate it, then choose what kind of crafting you want to do, and you can craft whatever you want.
Benches included are: Armor Workbench, Chem Station, Power Armor Station, Weapon Workbench and All-In-One Bench.
I even did a little lore in there and added the H&H Tool Company logo to the new table.
•Download, install and run! No requirements. There should be no conflicts as everything is independent.
•Download the optional performance textures if needed and overwrite textures.ba2 when prompted
•This does not add new categories or edit vanilla categories in any way, everything is added under "Crafting" along with the other vanilla benches.
•All workbenches require the same special craftsmanship as large workbenches, especially local leader level 2. This is done to maintain balance.
•Make sure you leave enough room in case power equipment or animations don't play. If your character is just standing there when active, pull the bench a little further away from the wall. The vanilla compact power armor station also has this problem, the only solution is to make sure you have enough space for the player to fall behind the PA during the animation.
•All destroyed vanilla bits and bench clutter will use whatever texture replacer (or vanilla texture) you have installed. Only the table/stool body has new textures (and the diagnostic workbench.)
•Chem and Armor Benches have less cluttered variants that won’t drain your settlement budget. They sit next to each other in the workshop.
•The animations don't always line up perfectly since they are made for the big bench, but the background is blurred when made anyway.
- When moving the All-in-One workbench, the game will take a few seconds to reposition the hidden component, so if you jump to an old spot with an invisible workbench while activating it, just stop, wait and activate it again and it will be in the correct location.
•Diagnostic Cart rebuilds the HD ReTexture project from FlaconOil. Thanks to him for letting me include it here. Go for it, it’s awesome!
•Tools used: Blender, Outfit Studio, NifSkope, Adobe Photoshop, Intel Textureworks plug-in, NVidia DDS plug-in, Creation Kit, FO4Edit.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
