About this mod Machine translation
Wow, top file? I...don't know what to say.
This is a small patch mod to prevent the Brotherhood, Academy, Railroad, and Militia vanilla radiators from sending you to Nuka worlds or Far Harbor locations. It also prevents Diamond City bounties from sending you to these locations.
Because...seriously Beth? Why?
Why in the world would a railroad give some crap to a courser running around a Raider-Controlled theme park? In fact, why would the institute even send one there in the first place? How does BOS know enough about Far Harbor to know when there are ghouls that need to be eliminated at the bowling alley, but not know Arcadia exists? Same with institute. Why would the settlers of Murkwater care about a ghoul running around a locked building in Nuka's world? Why did Diamond City Guards (or whoever wrote Bounty) give two plot points about what happened in Far Harbor? Why would Kells think it was a good idea to send a 10-year-old kid 200 miles away from Pyrdwen?
It doesn't make any sense, not to mention it's annoying that it's impossible to make a radiant mission because the game is suddenly obsessed with sending you to DLC locations for no reason.
This mod will prevent Vanilla Fallout missions from sending you to DLC or Modded world spaces or modified cells of DLC locations.
Q: I installed this mod, but Quinlan/Haylan/PAM/Etc still sends me to Nuka World/Far Harbor right after!
A: This is due to the way the game assigns mission objectives. You see, Fallout missions select their targets *before* the mission is taken, not *when* they are taken. This may be to prevent players from avoiding mission locations. This means that even if you have this mod installed, the game has already loaded all the fallout targets, so the next one or so will probably be sent to nuka world/far harbor as well. It should be noted that this mod cannot change the currently selected mission target, whether queued or currently active. It only prevents future leads from selecting non-federal locations as targets.
S: Unfortunately, there is no known way to change the mission target or the mission target in the queue. You'll have to look up quests on the wiki and use the console to advance them (or load a previous save and hope for the best). The next or next next mission should be NW/FH Free.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
