Colorful Commonwealth - Atomic Tables and Retro Radios

Hi, I make colorful/quirky stuff. If you still play The Sims games, you might recognize me as Esmeralda from Mod The Sims or Ezzy from Mamba City.

***UPDATE 10/31/2018: Radio texture fix I noticed to my horror that the texture on the brown radio was off center (it turned out it wasn't, I had to make a small change to the texture instead of moving it's position so no idea how that happened!), so I've now fixed that. Sorry for the inconvenience to those who have already downloaded, please download again. ***

EZZY's Colorful Public Health: Atomic Watches and Retro Radios

The ESL version includes those who prefer .esl to .esp. NOTE If you don't know how to install the .esl file yet: Install the .esl using the Mod Manager, then close NMM, return to it again and under the Plugins tab of NMM manually click on the mod in the list in the order it appears in the game.

Here are two new coffee tables (with new grids) and a set of four colorful rextextures from the Diamond City Radio model.

Two atomic style coffee tables

This set includes two new grids in the style of the classic 1950s Atomic table. They appear in the workshop catalog in the table section,

Made of 4 types of wood. The table is all made of wood texture, with a clean and tidy appearance, soft luster and the height of a game modern coffee table.

The triangle table (top) is available in blonde wood, exotic wood and glossy black, and the boomerang table (bottom) is available in mahogany, woodgrain and walnut finishes. (See the row of pictures at the top of the page for a closer view of the desktop texture.)

(The black triangle table is actually a faithful replica of my own real-life table from the 1950s!)

Four Diamond Cities Radio Returns and Grid Modifications

Here are two grid-edited sets of default post-war radios, with four colorful recollections of modern-style radios taken from modern life, by Philco, Emerson, Oceanic and Motorola.

They both play Diamond City Radio and appear in the workshop catalog in the Decorative/Miscellaneous section. They use the same scrap as the default. The radio has a weathered and damaged look, consistent with the style of the game.

NOTE: These radios do not light up when powered on, sorry - the way you tell if they are on is if there is music coming from them. Also note that these are 2d retextures - no extra dials or knobs added to the grid, just the retexture of the radio face, so you won't see the 3D dials/knobs when looking at them from the side.

Thanks for your interest and I hope you find one or both of these items useful.

My grid form in Milkshape. Boomerang represents 4442 polygons and triangle represents 5360 polygons. Created using Bethesda Creation Kit, Outfit Studio, Nifskope, Bethesda Archive Extractor, Material Editor and Photoshop.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
