About this mod Machine translation

Lets you set quest markers on collectible items like bobbleheads and magazines, or instantly transfer them directly to your inventory.

The packaged BA2 and the main file in the component format have been uploaded together. You can choose to install it according to your needs.

Updated on October 7th:

Version 1.0.1

Disabled quest markers for collectibles in player inventories.

Cleaned up the mod with FO4Edit. Somehow forgot to do this yesterday.

Function

Show quest mark: Place the quest mark on the collection you want to see the mark for. You can toggle quest markers for bobbleheads, specific magazines like La Coiffe or Grognak The Barbarian, etc. When you display the quest marker for Collectibles, it will add a new quest called Collectibles Helper to your Pip-Boy. If you want to see map markers on the map, make sure this task is active.

Auto-Transfer: Includes a feature to simply transfer all collectibles into your inventory, such as all released Guns And Bullets or Nuka Cola Recipes. You will be notified of any collectibles that failed to be collected (example: Guns And Bullets issue #8 only spawns after Brotherhood of Steel reinforcements arrive).

DLC Support: Support for collectibles in DLC, such as Islander's Almanac from Far Harbor or Star Cores from Nuka World.

See the readme file for more information.

Prerequisites: The Far Harbor and Nuka World DLC.

For MCM you will need the F4SE and Mod configuration menus.

FAQ

*Q: Is this ESL tagged? *

Answer: Yes.

*Q: I don’t see the MCM menu! *

A: Make sure you have F4SE and MCM installed and place the config.json file under Data\MCM\Config\Collectibles Helper.

*Q: I have enabled quest markers for a certain type of collectible, but I don't see any markers on the map. *

Answer: Make sure the Collectibles Helper task is enabled in your Pip-Boy. Also keep in mind that the game engine can only display a limited number of quest markers at a time. You may need to close another task or two.

*Q: I received a message stating "Unable to transfer...###". *

A: Collectibles that may have been removed from your game cannot be transferred to your inventory. There's really nothing I can do to reverse this. Also note that Gun and Bullet #8 will only spawn at the Cambridge Police Station after Brotherhood of Steel reinforcements arrive, so it cannot be transferred to your inventory or have a quest marker placed on it before then.

*Q: I came across a collectible but it didn't have a quest marker on it, even though I had quest markers turned on for this type of collectible. *

A: If the location regenerated, it may have generated duplicates. Quest markers can only be displayed as original collectible references.

*Q: Aren’t there 35 Star cores? Why do I only see 25 quest markers? *

A: A Star Core that is already launched in the main console will not get the tag.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
