*"Semi-automatic tactical rifle. Increased rate of fire with minimal recoil. Maintains reliable damage in longer range encounters. - In-game description*

about:

The DMR-14 is some sort of fictional adaptation of the M14, taken directly from Black Ops Cold War and added to Fallout 4 . Featuring actual proper M14 animations, stock, optics, muzzle, barrel, etc. Comes with two independent ESPs, described below, so you can fully choose your experience.

The DMR-14 appears in Fallout 4 as a semi-powerful .308 battle rifle. In terms of balance, this is a bridge between assault rifles and sniper rifles, with the former having a faster rate of fire and magazine size, but the latter having higher caliber and damage. Attachments allow you to turn it into anything from a reduced speed sight with reflex to a DMR complete with thermal sight, suppressor and shooter's stock. Still, it kicks like a mule.

ESP Split:

Probably the hardest thing about making this mod is getting close to balance. It feels like there are two paths - add all the COD attachments and let the excess mods float around, or get close and balance it around the vanilla and cut out some of the stuff people might like. So I decided to make two separate ESPs. Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Original ESP:

Has a streamlined set of accessories compared to COD ESP
Full set of original style receivers
4 butts
4 barrels
4 muzzles
5 magazines (slightly adjusted from their COD capacities)
All 13 sights available for this gun
Graded list injection starting at level 15
More emphasis on balance in this ESP.

Recommended for those who like to keep things relatively original

COD ESP:

Features (almost) all attachments present in BOCW
Complete set of original receivers
7 butts
7 barrels
7 muzzles
5 magazines (more or less in line with COD's capabilities)
Crafted at the Chemistry Workbench
All 13 sights can be mounted
Balance is not the main consideration with this ESP.

Recommended for people who like their own balance or don't care too much about it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
