A clean black Pip-Boy screen, what could be better?
As simple as it sounds, convert the brown-green pip-boy background into a solid black that perfectly suits all text colors. I'm really tired of how hard it is to see things clearly on my little boy because of how the colors clash and mix with each other and all I want is a black background with nothing interesting going on. So I searched and searched, to no avail, and I found a mod that actually makes the screen black, just like I want. I referred to the FO:NV mod "Shiloh DS - Clean Pipboy Screen", no consequence 4 mod looks like this. I troubleshooted it myself and discovered that the colors were coming from reflections and light effects on the pip-boy screen in the game, so I edited the pipboy screen material file to disable all light effects for the pip-boy screen, and while I was at it I also made the gray background black and cleared out any dirt on the screen. In the end, the pip-boy screen was completely black, so I thought others would share this need, so I uploaded it here. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
