Update incoming

I (ChuckYufarley, the original author, the same below) did not forget the suggestions and/or bug reports, and now I finally updated the mod. Due to next-gen updates and the overhauled menu configuration in the base mod, it is highly recommended that you save this update for a new game. Seriously, the new menu configuration makes the original mod incompatible with all subsequent updates.

New features

Fixed the windmill pump so that it actually provides water to the settlement site.

A new greenhouse model has been added that matches the dimensions of the Greygarden greenhouse, for those looking for a change.

Implemented a new way to place sprinkler head components. I've never been a fan of the chart approach because it relies on specific gate placement so that the chart appears in the correct location. Since new greenhouse models have 4 doors, the chances of the diagram method working properly are greatly reduced. As shown in the accompanying video, the new method involves placing a sprinkler helper on the exterior of the building directly above cinder blocks placed along the foundation. After placing the nozzle helper object, exit build mode and a complete set of nozzle components will be generated in their respective locations. The sprinkler parts still need to snap into place, so go back into build mode, grab the parts and they should snap into place. Delete unnecessary parts.

A demo of the update can be seen here:

One-stop shopping for all your food production needs...minus the food.

Compact and to-the-point, this set contains just about everything you need to get your farm up and running, plus a few extra do-dads. Stop wasting time building herb greenhouses that all end up looking the same, just plop on one of these stylish beauties and you're ready to start growing.

This MOD contains

A prefabricated Victorian style greenhouse. Not too big. Not too small. Juuust right.

Snap-on planting beds. The greenhouse can accommodate 18 growing beds and still leaves plenty of room for your worker bees to go about their business.

An irrigation system that allows you to tailor your watering needs just for the space where your planting beds are placed.

An old-fashioned windmill water pump to power your irrigation system. The pump can also be used as an independent water source for your settlement's fresh water needs.

Water tank and cattle trough insert. A water storage tank is a link in the chain of an irrigation system, but only paired with a pump, it adds luster to any settlement. The cow trough will make your brahmin drinkable and happy.

Doors, workbenches and additional elements to complete the irrigation system chain.

Other information

It’s a good idea to follow the steps for setting up your irrigation system as explained in the video above. The placement of pumps, tanks and risers depends largely on where the greenhouse is placed. Starting with the pump can cause the greenhouse to snap into place too high, too low, or not snap into place at all.

To make it easier to capture the grow beds, irrigation system, and sprinkler valves, like I did for the roadhouse in the main mod, I added a capture diagram that appears in build mode with the double doors installed in the middle. This image is labeled to indicate where it was captured.

The snap on sprinkler valves can be a little tedious. The snap points on the greenhouse have 3 different heights to set the base height for subsequent snapping of irrigation chain objects (risers, tanks, pumps). The valve will automatically snap to the top or bottom, but not immediately to the midpoint. To snap valves to the midpoint, snap one valve to the bottom point first, then the next one will automatically snap to the midpoint. Then just delete the one aligned …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
