About this mod Machine translation
Read the introduction carefully before use!
The function of this MOD is to add a synthetic/human manufacturing machine to the settlement construction menu, which can copy NPCs in the game and generate synthetic/human residents. Here’s how to play:
First, you need to go to the robotics department of the academy and find a holographic tape called "Synthetic/Human Manufacturing Machine Blueprints" on a table (the author said that if you have bombed the academy, you can find it near a big pit or something. I have not tested it. The holographic tape number: two-digit hexadecimal MOD sequence number + 006397). Then you find a settlement with enough open space. The author recommends an 8X8 floor size. I tried a 7X7 and it can be put down, but you have to adjust the angle carefully, which is more troublesome.
The manufacturing machine is in the Electricity-Others column. It requires 50 electricity, and the point to connect the wire is on one of its pillars. Then you connect to a terminal. If there are enough materials, you can choose whether to produce one or continuous production, and then you will be asked to copy the character data in that template.
There are three types of manufacturing materials, one is ordinary bones, and the other two are made at the chemistry station, namely synthetic/human cell culture bottles and new synthetic/human components. The amount of materials required is described in that holographic tape. After obtaining the materials, you need to throw them into the workshop. When manufacturing, the materials are automatically taken from the workshop.
As for the character data, first you have to make a weapon called a "body scanner" at the chemical station and use it on the character you want to scan (either alive or dead, it can be a child or a ghoul), and an interface to save data will appear. A total of 8 male and 8 female data can be saved. The initial data contains the data of the male and female protagonists. Those produced are counted as residents, accounting for the population, and can be exchanged for items. But it seems that when it was first created, it just stood there, and when you went out for a run and came back, it looked like an ordinary resident. This is different from the synthetic/human spies that are spawned by the system. They are loyal residents. Without further testing, it should be no different from ordinary residents. I plan to buy a magnolia flower, and then use the singing resident MOD to open a bar in the settlement.
Notice:
- The copied NPC has the same name as the original one.
- The voice of ordinary residents is still used.
- The manufacturing machine cannot be moved again after being placed. To move it, it can only be dismantled and rebuilt.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
