Update 1.1 August 11: Fixed typo and Chigurh unique weapon now uses shotgun shells instead of depreciated 40mm grenades.
It is also one of the China Lake pre-amps that I highly recommend. It has fixed many problems and replaced the outdated front-end with a more suitable ammunition expansion project.
I (the original author Kalevala17, the same below) like the holographic rifle very much. This is one of my favorite guns in the entire Fallout series. Since the only available version of Fallout 4 came bundled with the China Lake grenade launcher, I always ended up using them together, but unfortunately China Lake just glitches a little... much? It has some glaring issues that I could never ignore, from weight distribution to item value and scarcity. I then fixed some of the included missions, naming conventions, and removed all the silly ammo types, added ammo expansion items as a front-end so that it plays nicely with other weapon mods, and packaged it up in a nice little box. Hope you like it!
Just overwrite and install it to the original ESP.
Update 1.3 on August 26th: Fixed the 40mm grenade spawn (no longer crashes) and the holographic rifle can no longer be disassembled
Upload the latest patch along with the Holo Rifle only patch.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
