About this mod Machine translation

Build stationary guards and draw your weapons!

Build stationary faction guards in settlements and be on alert with weapons drawn!

That day has arrived.

Guards no longer have to play that stupid outpost animation with their finger on the trigger of a gun that doesn't exist. This mod allows you to build guards from the workshop (and of course, for hats, no guards are free after all). These guards drew their weapons, you know, like guards are supposed to. To build a ward, you must be a member of the faction you are trying to build. The railroad guard asks you to wait at the railroad, and so on.

Lets you build wards for each major faction to gain caps. (More factions coming soon!)

They are categorized under "Defense>Guards>Factions" in the Workshop menu.

Guards will remain stationary, weapons drawn, until engaged in combat.

If guards are moved too far, they will return to where they were built.

Guards count towards your settlement defense level.

Currently available factions:

Brotherhood of Steel - Complete mission "The Call"

Militia - Complete mission "First Step"

Institute - Complete "Institutionalized" tasks

Railroad - Complete the mission "Tradecraft"

Lyon's Pride - No requirements

Atom Cats - Complete the miscellaneous mission "Atom Cats"

Enclave - no requirements

Known issues:

Guards placed at a certain height may penetrate the surface on which they stand when loaded into cells.

If your cap is over 100k, Guard prices are listed incorrectly. This is a limitation of the engine, not anything I (the author, the same below) can solve.

Guards sometimes rotate positions when quickly traveling to cells.

Future content:

I plan to add more factions soon. There are a lot of factions in this game and implementing them takes a lot of time.

Frequently Asked Questions: Q:

I bet these questions aren’t even asked that often!

A: Next, this is not a question.

Q: Will you add faction X or faction Y?

A: I plan to add every faction that I personally find relevant. Some minor factions will be represented, some not. Adding a faction, while not entirely difficult, is very time consuming and I don't intend to work on this mod so much that I end up hating it.

Q: Do you accept requests?

A: I do read every suggestion, but I work on this mod as a hobby in my spare time, and there's obviously not a bunch of monkeys doing this all the time. just me.

Q: Will you make an Xbox One version?

A: With the release of version 1.1, I will be uploading this mod to bethesda.net for Xbox One users.

Q: How about PS4?

A: Unfortunately, due to the use of custom assets and scripts, I am currently unable to upload the PS4 version. Blame Sony.

Q: Are you a gamer in real life?

A: Yes, I'm George Foreman Grill - Game of the Year Edition.

Install:

Installation is simple, just use whatever preferred mod manager you like and it will do the work for you. Once in the game, the script will inject the new guard menu.

It is very important to uninstall WEEWOOWEEWOO Please read:

  • Go to the Chemistry Station.
  • Go to Utilities category.
  • Make "Uninstall CGuard" chemistry.
  • In your Pip-Boy, go to the Auxiliary section and use the chemistry you just made.
  • You can now safely save your game and then delete the mod.

I won't respond to uninstall questions, I really can't make a step-by-step guide simpler than this.

If you somehow uninstalled incorrectly. I'm just going to point you to DarthWayne's menu fixer thingy at:

Thanks:

Seriously. I thank you for every download, every endorsement, and every kind comment you give me. Even if I don't reply, I read every comment posted.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
