About this mod Machine translation

Adds a special picket fence that allows you to build a swimming pool and shower in your settlement (the issue is in the cabin at exit 111 of the vault, see screenshot)

Adds 4 seaplanes to your settlement workshop. Water marks each other and most workshop structures.

8 fully functional showers were added. NPCs can use it, and actors (or even players) who use it will automatically undress and redress upon exit.

Add 2 Rad-Away Showers to eliminate radiation.

Added 2 waterfalls.

Add 3 Water-Splashes.

Add 1 slack point marker.

Add 18 ceramic tiles to build your swimming pool or bathroom.

New items can be found in B.Y.O.P.’s main workshop menu. (or Furniture/Structure >> Miscellaneous if you disable the new menu option) Once you find the Picket Fence Special: B.Y.O.P.

Fully compatible with mod types like Settlement Keyword or Housewife.

If you enter workshop mode while in stealth mode, the markers will not appear, allowing you to place stairs or statues in the pool.

See the "What's New" section for more information.

In order for new items to appear in your studio menu, you need to find a magazine called Picket Fence Special Issue: B.Y.O.P. Located in the cabin at the exit of Vault 111 (see screenshot).

Once the magazine is found, the Holotape titled [Setup] Build Your Own Pool will be added to your inventory.

If you don't change the settings, the new item can be found under B.Y.O.P. In the main workshop menu.

If you choose to integrate the item into the vanilla menu, the water tag will be located under Structure >> Miscellaneous and Furniture under Showers >> Miscellaneous.

Relaxation Spot: To work effectively, the Relaxation Marker must be placed near furniture, leaving it alone will not attract any settlers.

A rough tutorial showing you how to build a basic but fully functional pool

FLipdeezy for shower animations. If you like my mod, please endorse FLipdeezy mod.

vexenonify for title screenshot.

CitizenRandom I used some base mesh from his beautiful mod Half Width Shed Wall to make the new tiles.

ad3d0 for his famous Snap'n Build - Windows: I used some base meshes to make the new tiles.

Please note that due to the undressing script, if you use more than 64 showers (and/or naked people in the pool) at the same time, the 65th+ NPC will not undress. Well, if you have 65 actors showering at the same time, your main problem might not be size 65 undressing)

Thanks to the game engine, everything under the water's surface will be treated as an underwater area. So building a rooftop swimming pool is not a good idea. (Long story short, a pool on the roof = swimming in the living room).

Due to changes in the pool undressing system, NPCs will only take off their clothes when swimming

In order to overcome the graphical glitch when taking off NPCs (it happens when you change their equipment) I had to use a workaround involving Akoko's body as wearable armor. This body uses all stock slots for air reduction, long air and heads. (To avoid being beheaded, bald npc ^^) Some mods like Armorsmith Extended change some helm records to remove biped slot 46--from those headbands, leaving only slot 30--aerial top. Therefore, any items limited to slots 30, 31 and/or 32 will not be equipped by NPCs.

Armor marked as a quest item will not automatically re-equip on the player.

Sometimes for some people, PipBoy fails to replay the player, if it happens to you, use this command in the console to reset PipBoy: player.equipItem 21B3B and turn off PipBoy Auto-Unequip in configure holotape.

How to update

Unless noted in the version information, there is no need to uninstall the previous version before upgrading. The way I build the update I just need to overwrite the old files.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
