About this mod Machine translation
introduce:
Greetings folks! This mod aims to solve an interesting problem I ran into today that I surprisingly missed in the first two games lol! Boston Airport is available as an in-game settlement (I guess it's just you aligned with BoS?), but it's weird... although there's a little bit of dirt in the back corner. You can't grow any food, you can't set up a radio beacon, can't set up a shop, and can't really do anything with it. You might have a settler there, a fellow BoS, but nothing else is really there. It honestly feels unfinished, like Bethesda wanted to finish something and who knows, maybe the person who was supposed to code that solution said they were going to screw it up or slept on it for 5 years. For one reason or another, Bethesda stopped by here with a special Workbench, a unique Boston Airport workbench that's missing a few options! All other settlements have almost the same full crafting bench, but this one is limited.

so what?
So, do we want a complete and proper Workbench? Because why not? Well, there might be a reason to drive Beth crazy, this group is already really packed with over 300 NPCs and stuff. There are 20 Starlights. So maybe why, if you build too much here, it can really slow down performance and really mess up the cell more. Well, to be fair, if you're playing FO4 on a Commodore then you're probably going to have real problems if you build like crazy. If you have a high-end version, you'll be fine. I did get some FPS drops, but nothing bad.

Correction:
Most importantly, you need food! So my first attempt at fixing a simple water pump to produce food... yes, I know, impractical, but hey, I can't make a bathtub produce food. This works great and I also added a little happiness bonus. The surgery center has 30 happiness boosts, my modified pump only has 25. Not satisfied with this, I went back into the code and dug through over 300 references, found the studio, and noticed that it was unique to the Boston airport. Oh, that's why some stuff doesn't help here. So I modified this reference to put a real full workbench instead of the Boston Airport (limited) workbench. This is very good! So I provide you two options in RAR download. You can do one or both!
----
Installation and usage options:
Option 1.) Place NanotechWaterpump_FoodWaterHappy.esp into your /Data folder, activate of course, load your game and have fun! This also replaces all water pump instances and new nanotech water pumps in other settlements. It's kind of deceiving to be honest, but I did have limited space at the Boston airport.
Nanotech Waterpump makes: 25 water, 25 food and 25 happiness (this seems to be
An algorithm isn't just 0-100, so it can't instantly boost your settlement by 25 solid points. )
Option 2.) Place BostonAirport_WorkshopFix.esp into your /Data folder and of course activate, load and build with the full Workbench! You can build your radio beacon, plants, shops, and even special items, which to me were just militia artillery. Using the .esp alone won't do anything else at all, just swap a limited Workbench with a full Workbench.
Options 1 and 2.) You can use both, they are actually completely separate. This will change all instances of settlement water pumps to nanotech water pumps, which can produce 25 water, 25 food, and 25 food. This will allow Boston Airport's limited benches to be swapped with full benches.

uninstall:
Just delete a .esp or two from the /Data folder. You might lose all the items you placed, I'm not entirely sure. Any basic content you put in should remain. After uninstalling I do a clean save, then exit and reload the new save. At least that way the game won't search for references that no longer exist.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
