Updated on September 6th:

Version 1.02

Continuing the new changes from the unofficial Fallout 4 patch

Fixed some previously missed blood stain stickers

Fixed dozens of non-bloody stickers, and objects that did not have decals before appeared to have obvious mold wear. (I spent over a month reviewing nearly 10,000 items for this. That’s the bulk of the update)

Merged in Experimental Dynamic Blood Clip Fix

All patches updated

Version 1.01

I've created an experimental update file that should significantly reduce dynamically placed blood clipping in combat.

The NG version (supports next generation) and GOG version (supports version 163) files have been uploaded. Both support BA2 and component formats. You can choose one of the four to download and install according to your needs.

----

Have you ever noticed bloodstains with hard edges while wandering around? I (original author Glitchfinder, the same below) knew I had it, so I started working on it. I immediately regretted this decision because I started to see other problems, like putting blood on objects that couldn't be rendered, or even blood that was actually invisible! So I spent five months reviewing over four thousand decals just to fix it.

Features

Fixed the locations of over 1,100 placed bloodstains.

Move decals placed on movable objects that cannot be rendered, such as doors and mannequins.

Fixed some meshes for immovable objects not being able to display the blood decal as well.

Fixed several decals not being visible due to misconfiguration.

Marked as light plugin (esm with esl flag) to minimize impact on load order.

FAQ

**How to start using this mod? **

Just install it! No configuration or special steps are required.

**Is this safe to use in existing games? **

yes.

**Why the main file? **

Two reasons. First, I hope it doesn't conflict with other mods, to prevent it from messing up other authors' decorations. Second, it makes it easier for anyone to use it as a master file for their own patches.

**Is this compatible with blood replacement? **

Generally speaking, yes. The enhanced blood textures need a few patches, but everything else I checked was fine.

**Why do the Sanctuary and Taffington Boathouse have new stains? **

One of the invisible decals I restored was used to decorate both locations. I have an optional file that will remove it from these settlements if you wish.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
