About this mod Machine translation
Fallout 4 - Chinese and English subtitles, movie-like feeling~
As shown in the picture, the bilingual subtitles are produced by the moiianxiv boss. It is highly recommended to go to the original site and like the boss.
introduce
Chinese and English subtitles, text extracted from ANK Chinese and official English. It includes the Chinese-English translation of an unofficial fix patch and the font settings shown in screenshots. The latter two can be installed or not.
Install
You can install it with MO2, but there may be layout problems. The Chinese and English texts are quite large and occupy a separate line. You need to use some interface plug-ins to adjust them. It is recommended to install these three MODs at the same time:
- Full Dialogue Interface
Only use the UI files, choose any interface to install, and then delete the strings folder.
Do not use the popular Extended Dialogue Interface as its interface is not compatible with long text.
- Enhanced Subtitles
Make the subtitles wider as a proportion of the screen, instead of being crowded in the middle. Although it is a starry sky module, it seems to be of some use to Fallout 4. Anyway, I (original author moiianxiv, the same below) installed it and can modify the width in the ini inside. I changed it to 100.
- FallUI - HUD
To adjust the size and position of the subtitles, I raised the position of the speaker's name.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
