The "Grassland" overhaul provides new grass to the game including flowers. Flowers provide beautiful grassy areas (in my opinion) in some areas of the game, such as forests, which are now more alive. However, it's not just the forests that have been modified. The cities now have more life with grass growing out of the piles of trash and debris, the swamps have been modified and should provide better performance than the original game! Beaches and other areas have also been changed to look better.
There may be a performance hit, although from my testing it's not much of an impact. There is a performance version that reduces density and removes water underneath grass to improve fps.
There are two versions. "Healthy" will look like most screenshots and videos, with flowers and grass, "Unhealthy" is a more dead looking version, and doesn't have any flowers, but may also have better performance.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
