About this mod Machine translation

Alternative weather inspired by traditional weather, featuring new panoramic cloud HDRI.

Original address:

After years of inactivity, I (original author boomstick467, the same below) finally decided to dedicate a love letter to this ugly but beautiful community about "Fallout 4", a modern weather alternative game. Work on this mod started about six years ago when I first started working with Scott Clam on creating desert weather for Fallout: New Vegas. Over the years, development was put on hold as I lost interest in modding. However, I'm happy to say that I persevered and eventually completed the project.

This mod will provide

There is general support, and updates will continue, but the project was never planned to have major content. I'm also not going to make other mods for Fallout 4 because New Vegas is better.

This new weather mod introduces the Panoramic Sky Dome, a model used in some of the latest Fallout: New Vegas weather mods such as Desert Natural Weather and Supreme Weather with ENB. Panorama Dome makes it possible to replace the flat, repetitive textures in the Creation Kit and Legacy games with awesome cloud textures. I tried to keep the overall feel of the weather as bland as possible to preserve the developer's original aesthetic, with darker and richer colors, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and more. I also avoided having the mod content to be tedious and cumbersome, there are 19 types of weather in total, each unique, and the cloud textures and colors have been carefully chosen.

The module has many unique cloud textures, combined with adjusted light and shadow and panoramic cloud network, to present stunning weather visual effects, turning the monotonous sky in "Fallout 4" into a brilliant sea of color!

feature:

Panoramic cloud——

HD clouds, allowing for higher resolution cloud textures for each weather.

Overall light and shadow——

The overall tone of the game has been polished even better, and the visual effects are even more stunning.

Custom sun texture——

High-resolution sun texture to make it look more static-free and pleasing to the eye.

Custom moon and star textures——

Customize moon and star textures to make the night sky stand out.

10 types of sunny weather——

Most mods are populated with pleasant weather types.

5 types of cloudy days——

Covers the diversity of pleasant to rainy weather.

Three types of rainy days——

The dark and sultry rain makes your journey through the wilderness even more boring.

1 Radiation storm weather type——

Radiation storm weather that fits the background story.

compatibility:

Because I'm trying to make this mod more realistic, the weather system across the Federation is now more global, so the Glowing Sea sometimes has sunny weather. Currently only Federation support, DLC support is planned in the future, but please let me know what mod world spaces you'd like to tinker with.

Install:

Just drag and drop into MO2, making sure it's at the bottom of the load order, overwriting other mods and avoiding issues.

You may need to load the game, enter RCC on the console, save and restart to prevent the clouds from moving and causing a huge halo to form in the sky.

Special thanks to:

Big thanks to Scott Clam for keeping cool and providing the tutorial as always, and xGeorge for providing Supreme Weather and ENB

Wonderful textures provided by Marcurios, and FNV made

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
