I'm so excited to finally release the Better Ammo Boxes mod as a whole! (Now use the installer menu!)
This mod reconstructs all traditional ammo boxes. Each box is hand textured to suit the finish and look. Each box comes in two resolutions and multiple variations. (10mm currently only has one variant)
Textures will have (high) 2048x2048 and (medium) 1024x1024 resolutions. 5mm ammo boxes are 4096x2048 (high) and 2048x1024 (center). If possible, I recommend using the (higher) version of each box. You will see more details. Please note this is my first time using an installer like this. If anyone has questions please let me know and I'll try to figure it out. Thank you and please enjoy!

Please make sure to uninstall all previous ammo textures before installing!
Installation (please use Mod Manager for the smoothest installation)
To install the mod using NMM, just click the "Install with Manager" button. Once in NMM, just double-click the mod to install it. Once completed, you will see a pop-up installer. There, choose a texture color and resolution for each box. If you don't want a texture for a specific box, you can leave the box empty. You should be happy once you've made your selections and click Done.
Uninstall/change colors
To uninstall a mod in NMM, you'll do the same thing as most other mods. You can simply click ether the disable mod icon to temporarily disable the mod or delete mod icon to remove the mod completely.
To change colors, remove the mod completely and reinstall using NMM. This should launch the installer menu again.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
