About this mod Machine translation
Fixed Bethesda's apparent failure to make an accurate BAR in Fallout 4 by reclassifying the "Battle Rifle" to be more accurately the gun it was supposed to be.
describe:
It's been a year since I posted the original Combat Rifle Lore Fix Remesh. Since then, I've received numerous complaints about some design choices and compatibility issues, such as retexturing. I've completely redone this mod to address all of these issues and updated it to make it more attractive. This model now comes in 3 variants depending on which receiver upgrade you use: Standard, Enhanced and "Modern" (based on the hcar rifle).
Still can't believe Bethesda made the battle rifle as bad as they did. They got everything wrong, it doesn't work, it's a gun that runs on magic instead of logic. The weapon is now also correctly loaded in .308.
compatibility:
The mod Battle Rifle Barrel Overhaul is still highly recommended as it remasters the original Battle Rifle barrel to better match the BAR design. It is also fully compatible with Dak's accessory packs and any other accessory plug-in mods for battle rifles. Since it uses the battle rifle receiver texture, the retexture mod is highly recommended.
I do plan on making this a standalone weapon mod, but can't make a new weapon that shares all the battle rifle attachments except the receiver. I'll finally get it done when I figure out how to properly replace the receiver on the battle rifle template without any issues.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
