This is just a small ESL tagged master file and F4SE plugin that exposes some neat stuff and some fixes that other mods can take advantage of.

If you have a request for a feature that requires the F4SE plugin, please feel free to mention it in the comments and I may add it in a future release.

Console commands

BetaComment [bc "This rock is floating!"]

Used to annotate references in the game world. They are exported to a file in the game root directory, by default BetaComment.txt, which can be opened using the Creation Kit (under World -> View BetaComment Data...). Useful when working on level design or reporting bugs about floating rocks or other content to the unofficial patch team.

FreePlayer

Set the player to free.

GetBaseObject [gbo]

Outputs the base form of the reference selected in the console.

GetDefaultObject [gdo “InventoryWeight_DO”]

Outputs the form currently set to the given DefaultObject form.

---

Papyrus

BakaUtil.FilterReferencesByKeywords

Takes an array of ObjectReferences, an array of Keywords, an optional bool, and returns all ObjectReferences that currently have at least one of the passed keywords. If bool is false, the function returns all ObjectReferences that do not contain any keywords.

BakaUtil.OpenWebPage

Opens the given URL using the Steam interface or the user's default browser.

Un)RegisterForPipboyLightEvent of ScriptObject

(Un)Register OnPipboyLightEvent

Script Object.OnPipboyLightEvent

This event is fired whenever the Pipboy Light is turned on or off.

StringUtil

A complete copy of Fallout 4's SKSE StringUtil function.

---

ActorValues

PipboyLightActive [AVIF:FE000800]

This will be 0, meaning Pipboy turns off the lights, or 1, meaning Pipboy turns the lights on. It also tracks the status of Power Armor headlamps.

RadiationSourceCount [AVIF:FE000801]

This lets you know how much the player is currently affected by the radiation effect. It only works with Player.

InventoryWeight [AVIF:FE000802]

This allows you to check the total weight of all items on a given NPC. (Currently disabled)

---

Fix

StoryManager craft items

By default this SM event never fires, this plugin fixes that and provides all event data parameters as expected.

---

Patch LoadEditorIDs

Load EditorID for most forms, like po3's Tweaks for SSE or similar patches in FNV's JohnnyGuitar NVSE.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
