About this mod Machine translation
Bad-Ass Vault Dweller Long Jacket by Eferas
The meshes and textures are independent, so if any modeler wants to create a retexture they are welcome to do so, it will not replace any of the vanilla costumes.
What this MOD does:
It will add 15 new craftable and upgradeable costumes for male and female characters. The first is a safe suit with a long brown leather jacket (physics!!). The second costume is also a safety suit with a brown leather long coat and right sleeve (now male and female). The third costume is the Road Leather costume with the same Long Coat. The remaining 12 costumes are variations of the three styles mentioned above: clean and dirty versions of the Vault suit, Minutemen versions of the Brotherhood of Steel and Long Coat.
All costumes can be worn with armor. Vault Suits can be upgraded to any Vault Suits in the game (without ballistic weave), and Road Leather can be upgraded with ballistic weave.
How to get it:
You can craft costumes at any Chemistry Station. Don't ask me to change stations, I won't. I tried using the armor station and I failed, but I like it the way it is so I won't change it. If you would like to create a compatibility patch for another mod, please feel free to do so and then contact me and I will upload your patch as an optional file.
How to install:
- Step 1: Download and install.
Manual installation: Extract the archive, copy everything in the /past data folder, and activate the esp in NMM or any other program used to activate esp files.
NMM: Just download and let NMM do its job, then enable esp in the plugins tab.
- Step 2: How to enable modding.
You have to manually edit the ini file in the Fallout4 folder (where it was saved) or the mod won't work, no mod will work.
You need to change the following lines in Fallout4.ini:
sResourceDataDirsFinal = STRINGS \,TEXTURES \,MUSIC \,SOUND \,INTERFACE \,MESHES \,PROGRAMS \,MATERIALS \,LODSETTINGS \,VIS \,MISC \,SCRIPTS \,SHADERSFX \
You need to add the following lines to your Fallout4Prefs.ini file under the section labeled [Launcher]:
bEnableFileSelection = 1
Some users also have to edit Fallout4.ini in the installation folder for the mod to work.
Or you might want to check out this mod: ArchiveInvalidation by InsanePlumber, I haven't tried it yet but it should work.
If you have any questions, please review the instructions and paste post.
How to use UNISTALL:
Manual: Remove all files added by this mod.
NMM: Let NMM do its own thing.
Known issues:
- There's still some clipping between the jacket and the dome suit, there's nothing I can do about it, but it barely shows the armor.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
