About this mod Machine translation

Welcome to the future of Eyewear! ®

-

Nuka-Cola, the creators of the world's greatest soft drinks, have brought together some of the most talented fashionistas, scientists, and radiation experts in 2076 to bring you a new line of eyewear that will keep you glowing in the Commonwealth.

In the event of an unforeseen *ahem* Total Atomic Annihilation, the Rad-Ban lens features Nuka-Tech® radiation application that creates a small field of view around the user, minimizing the effects of radiation. Wow! science!

We currently have two models, starting with the Rad-Ban Sniper:

latest style

"For those sunbathers who need to stay sharp between ears and eyes."

Secondly, we have the Softshell series; for those science-nerdy types out there wandering the Commonwealth and seeing just two feet in front of you; waiting for your next chance to split an atom!

BETA

This mod gives glasses in Fallout 4 a much-needed boost. Due to limited knowledge of the inner workings of the game, I haven't* been able to get these physics to sit on my nose, but from some experiments it seems possible in the future.

Since it's in the early stages, I'm curious to see what these do and don't fit well; as far as clipping goes. I'm currently looking at CBBE's Outfit Studio as an end user solution to customize it to suit my role. stay tuned.

[Install]

Standard installation, use NMM to download and activate.

You can get these glasses in two ways:

For example, they can be found at vendors near the basement of the Commonwealth, Fallon, in exchange for exotic items.

Otherwise, open the console with ~ and type

Help Fallout 4

player.additem XXXX

(XXXX is replaced with the ID shown in the console)

If you want multiple of the same, just add a number at the end. (player.additem XXXX 2)

Don't get me started on making them craftable; there's no point in someone with a rusty hammer and some duct tape being able to craft these glasses. You are not Marx, don't be stupid.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
