If you use a console runner tweak like this, it will improve your gaming. Or any console tweaks placed in a txt file that runs automatically on game launch.
My friend and I noticed that this console tweak was loaded along with the game and significantly slowed down the main menu from appearing. I want fast load times and don't want to deprive myself of such adjustments. Now, it's here.
Install
- Remove this string sStartingConsoleCommand=bat [any filename here (remember this name)] from the GENERAL section of Fallout4.ini and/or Fallout4Custom.ini. Or you can annotate it with ";" as the first string symbol.
- Rename the .txt file in the Fallout 4 folder (the name you remembered in the first step) to AutoeXec.txt.
- Install this Mod. If you don't have SUP F4SE installed yet, download it.
Glad your main menu loads quickly now (it took ~1400 seconds with mine with ~10 plugins).
I don't use autoruns txt tweak, will I get a boost using it? No.
Will it work in N-Gen? If SUP F4SE works in N-Gen - this mod does too, no updates. Actually, I'm just in theory now, not in practice. I haven't played N-Gen yet, maybe it doesn't need to be there at all. I have no idea. But technically it will work after SUP update.
Pre-MOD:
Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE)
SUP F4SE
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
