About this mod Machine translation
You can add a beautiful blue Institute Beam to any laser pistol and laser rifle in Weapon Workbench (including the legendary workbench). Compatible with AWKCR and Creation Club.
In short, the mod:
This mod provides a nice light blue Institute laser to any laser rifle and laser pistol via a simple attachable weapon mod. Accessible via any weapons workbench. Compatible with Creation Club content and AWKCR.
How to use details:
At any weapons workbench, you can attach the Institute Laser Muzzle and Institute Sniper Barrels to your laser pistols and laser rifles.
(Check out the pictures and video for a better view:)
Important notes:
- If you want to use the Research Laser's sniper barrel or the "Improved Sniper Barrel", use their "For Research Laser" variant.
- After attaching an Institute muzzle (e.g., Beam Focuser) to your weapon, attach these barrel variants.
- Do not use these variants with non-research institute laser muzzles
Laser weapon stats are unaffected, and their damage is the same as traditional pre-war (red) lasers.
Install:
- Use NMM (or any Mod Manager), or:
- Manually place the .esp file into the /Data folder (and activate it in the plugins.txt file)
You can find two muzzle models on any weapon workbench in the muzzle slot section
uninstall:
- Remove Institute Muzzle Mods and special Institute Barrels from your weapons
- Delete using Mod Manager, or:
- Deactivate .esp files and delete them manually from /Data folder
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
