Atomic Shine - A nuclear flash mod

Before the war, word of an experimental alcoholic beverage called Nukashine began to spread quietly beyond Appalachia. Originally developed as an underground college tipple, the drink is known for its potent flavor, radioactive glow, and punch that can make experienced drinkers faint.

Naturally, it wasn't long before word of the recipe reached Massachusetts.

Boston's massive Nuka-Cola presence, coupled with a booming college culture and underground nightlife, make the commonwealth fertile ground for imitators. Small-batch Nukashine began popping up in Boston-area covert bars, student parties, and illegal breweries. Most are crude attempts to replicate the infamous Appalachian original, but a handful of dedicated winemakers have managed to come up with something extremely close.

By the year 2077, the Federation-made Nuclear Elf flask has become a whispered novelty among students, longshoremen, and anyone willing to risk their memory in pursuit of a better night.

Then the bombs dropped, and two centuries later, "Nuke" has found a whole new audience.

Wasteland winemakers discovered that special fermentation processes and excess preservatives in pre-war ingredients allowed some batches to remain surprisingly strong after the war. Others began to recreate the drink using recycled Nuka-Cola products, experimental brewing equipment, and whatever suspicious radioactive materials they could find.

The drink is particularly popular among raiders, caravan guards, scavengers, and the more adventurous residents of Gurd's neighbors.

In the federal swamp, there is a distillery that produces and records an almost identical Nuka-Shine.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
