Reissue instructions

This is a re-release of Aloot's excellent Home Plate player home mod. Since Aloot's profile was deleted, the mod was removed from the shelves, but since he explicitly allowed it to become a community resource, I (the original author Ramziese, the same below) re-uploaded it to allow the community to reopen! See Aloot's original post below.

describe

It's a complete makeover of the Diamond City Players Home, also known as Home Plate. The interior has been redesigned and the home now behaves like other settlements. You can send companions and NPCs there to add Home Plate to the supply chain. Nowadays, the house is full of custom paintings, photos, posters, etc., but almost everything can be disassembled directly through the workshop mode, or indirectly through the workshop stacking system, which basically means that if an item is placed on top of something that is being deleted, it will also be deleted. The terminal also has a brief backstory, in the form of a diary left by its previous owner.

Diamond City Market Gate crash fix fixed in version 2.4

Updated the mod so hopefully it won't crash when entering home plate using either door in Diamond City Marketplace.

Missing navmesh fixed in version 2.3

Thanks to Ben Rierimanu, creator of the Previsibines Repair Pack (PRP), Aloot's Home Plate has been updated to version 2.3 and now doesn't have any broken navmesh! The original version 2.2 of Aloot will continue to be available in the "Old Files" column. The patch notes for version 2.3 are as follows:

Reconstruct pre-visualization with 0.59+ criterion. PRP is loaded afterwards, but PRP is not required to function properly.

Fixed distribution of main player bed textures in the grid. (Wrong texture file name)

Fixed flag naming to expected language. (In version 2.2, the Quebec flag text name is French in all languages and has been corrected accordingly for different languages)

Notes, Warnings and Bugs

Any mod that modifies, modifies, or alters the Diamond City market may overwrite the home plate's map marker data, breaking settlement functionality. This means that when you try to send companions or NPCs there, they'll just stand still like fools.

The cage light on the ceiling above the power armor station is indeed detachable, but the collision isn't accurate enough to be easily highlighted in workshop mode. Their collision needs to be modified.

The TV in the basement is unusable unless you adjust it in build mode. That is, select it and cancel it, or move it. I don't know why this is happening. I've looked at the TVs in other settlements and can't figure out why they activate by default.

Acknowledgments and Acknowledgments:

Akarnan's "Build Your Own Pool" resources and collaboration for shower room.

Caraland77 retextures military bed blankets for custom bunk beds.

The base images for most of the paintings and posters were pulled from Google. I guess that means they are in the public domain. If I made a mistake or need to call someone out, please PM me.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
