Al's Vault-Tec aftermarket blueprint is here!
Vault-Tec designs the perfect shelter. Durable enough to keep you alive when the bombs fall. But they are so boring! Even 200 years later, each shelter looks the same. Those bombs are a thing of the past, right? So, if the structural integrity of the work inside the vault means a more unique and exciting experience, what's the point of compromise? nothing!
Al brings you these amazing, completely unapproved aftermarket shelter parts! Now you can have strong science and research areas, a gym that feels more open but keeps the smell indoors, a commercial area that displays your wares, and a luxury room that you can actually observe from a distance without having to creepily peek out of the window! Finally, you can build a space that looks completely different from the rest, with only minimal damage to structural integrity!
Building on existing work and structures (with permission) from the amazing and wonderful Vault 88 Essentials (V88E) and Vault-Tec Workshop Overhaul Redux (VTWOR), these new shelter parts are placed within the existing V88E menu and integrate seamlessly with VTWOR capture so you get the absolute best shelter building experience possible. It also has a separate menu within the Vault-Tec menu for easy access to windows and other sections of all versions. 100% safe for all settlers!
Features:
There are over 150 pieces to play with in the studio, but it won't slow you down! I made it as lightweight as possible, using only 31 meshes and existing base game textures to achieve this. Alas!
Al's Tall Windows (featuring ~20 V88E texture variants).
Al's Big Windows (featuring ~20 V88E texture variants with a dual window corner).
Al's Big Twin Windows (featuring ~20 V88E texture variants and corners).
Ayer's large, large twin and high window atrium pieces (top, bottom and center).
Al's big twins and tall window panes.
plan:
Grand staircase.
Large hallway.
More atrium pieces.
More window styles.
More wall types.
Window decorations.
corner options.
Prefab.
Notes:
The glass plate must be clamped to the back of a piece before another glass plate can be clamped onto it. They cannot be inserted after construction. This is a base game "feature" and I'm not sure if I can change it.
Parts of the room need to be stuck in the doorway. This means that to build a room, you need an atrium, family, or other doorway, and then you can draw others to it. This is a base game "feature" and I'm not sure if I can change it.
Large windows look cramped in corners, you can avoid this by using free walls and jamming them outside. Double windows are designed to use these windows as corner pieces and there is a double window corner available.
Use of these parts in your vault will void your Vault-Tec warranty.
Other fun stuff!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
