About this mod Machine translation
Allows you to turn Ada into a human (and back again). Includes full appearance configuration, affinities, lip-synced dialogue, dynamic combat styles and hacking/lockpicking
Installation - New Game
Activate mod
Start a new game and continue until exiting Vault 111
The control stick will be given along with the option to run a quick test
If you do not load test Ada2Human before performing testing it is highly recommended. This will ensure that you don't waste time playing until the Automatron questline starts and find out that it's gone wrong in some way. The test will be forced to start and complete its first step, which may cause problems, so be sure to revert to save before running after completion.
Install - existing game
If the initial Automatron mission has not been launched yet, the testing options will appear as in a new game. If Ada is already available, this test is unavailable and the lever can be crafted at the Chem Station
access menu
For MCM users, the easiest way is to simply bind hotkeys. For others, simply equipping the control stick will accomplish the same thing. It can be typed as quickly as any weapon for instant access.
Menu function
Summon - This will teleport you if Ada is not in the area (loaded by the game engine)
Exit Power Armor - If Ada is near and in the PA, this will cause her to eject from it
Turn the robot/turn the human - does what it says on the tin
Edit Appearance - Activates the character gen interface so you can edit Ada's appearance as desired
DynCombat - Activates a dynamic combat style, allowing Ada to switch between offensive, balanced, or defensive tactics based on her health and enemy count. Entering this menu can also set the switching time threshold. This mode also makes Ada check every second to ensure she attacks the nearest enemy, turning her into an effective bodyguard whenever you're close.
ResMatch - Makes Ada automatically match the player's resistance (optional multiplier) regardless of what she is wearing. Useful if you want to equip a cosmetic replacement outfit/armor like the Nyx Suit and have it available throughout the game.
custom gear
Ada has her own equipment, which is a Kellogg appearance armor modified with 20 damage, 30 energy and 10 fire/freeze resistance. She is also equipped with a custom-made powerful but high-rebound large-bore SMG.
Other supplements
Added keywords to allow for the same unlimited ammo as the Settler (excluding heavy weapons), Danse style power armor damage immunity and stealth levels 1-4 so she doesn't blow your cover. Or mine in your face.
To offset some of the loss of survivability from armored automaton form, Ada also has a "robot hunter" specialist, which increases her damage by 20% and reduces her damage by 20% against robots or synths.
limit
While you can switch between human and robot forms at will, this is not supported. This option is only used to remove troublesome Magnum plugins that are already installed. Nothing was tested except the M-Sat or Recon sensors required for the main mission line.
It is also recommended to use mods in new games to ensure Ada is initialized correctly. If you still want to use it in an existing game, you may have to remove all weapons, delete all content, or revert it to as close to its default form as possible, depending on your game state/mod settings.
Known issues
Switching Ada back to a robot causes the legs to become unstable - switching isn't really supported on the move, so the animations sometimes get messed up. Putting her into Robot Workbench and clicking on the different leg options without building them will reset them.
Why she walks like a woman and talks like a tank - If you change the body during movement activity, the associated trail sounds will also continue to play in human form, for example if the sentinel leg tank one is active, that's the loop. Make sure she is still before switching or you are using another type of leg to avoid this.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
