Warhammer 40K Battle Turret

Turret emplacements are small, static strongholds used by the Astra Militarum and various planetary defense forces. The turret holds a weapon and is manned by several specially trained Imperial Guardsmen or local militiamen, usually two or three men.

These static positions are often used to defend important strategic positions while providing protection for their own mounted weapons. These turrets are typically placed near locations that require static defense, such as the Planetary Governor's administrative structures, Astartes forward command bases and strategic locations, bridges, starports, Advocate duty areas, ammunition depots, and fuel depots. Turret batteries can also form part of defensive lines and trench works.

Turret Turrets are versatile and designed to accommodate the turrets of many standard Imperial Guard vehicles, from Leman Russ Battle Cannons to Chimera Multi-Lasers. They can also be used to mount Tarantula Sentry Cannons, or specially designed turrets used solely as emplacement weapons. Turret Turrets can be equipped with almost any heavy weapon in the Imperial arsenal. Turret The interior of the turret is small, stuffy, and cramped, leaving barely enough room to operate the turret.

The biggest problem with turret turrets is that they cannot be moved because they are permanent structures. The location of the turret must be precise, as the turret must have a line of sight to engage the target, but must also be well protected by natural terrain features so that it cannot be targeted by enemy artillery or air strikes and destroyed. The structure must also be placed in an area that is not prone to flooding, as placement is useless if the vicinity is filled with water.

The turret is divided into two parts: the concrete base is located in the "Prefabricated" area of the "Concrete" section of the stronghold menu, and the "Tank Turret" upper part is located in the "Turret" area of the "Defense" section of the stronghold menu.

These work just like any other settlement turrets, just place them where you want them and watch them help defend your settlement.

As mentioned above, you can build them in your settlement, and they can be found in the prefabricated section of the concrete buildings in the Structures area of the Workshop's construction menu.

There are collision volumes on the turret base, but there are no snap points available on them (I still don't know how to make them actually work...yet), so you will have to manually adjust their position on the turret base.

Each turret gives a buff to your defense, with 50 points of defense reaching the settlement they are built on.

This mod is marked as ESL so it doesn't take up any mod slots.

Mods are what they are and won't be modified unless it's a game-breaking issue.

If the turret top is not placed in the correct position on the turret base, the turret will not fire. This is a vanilla game issue and I haven't found a fix for it other than tweaking it to find the "sweet spot".

I recommend using Mod Place Everywhere with this and all my turret mods so you can manually

Adjust the turret's position on the base/stand you may want to use in game.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
